Another code assist bug

Found another bug:

Code: Select all

function f() {
	alert(f.) // Code assist doesn't show CONST propery
}

f.CONST = {
	param: 'hello world';
}
Outline shows CONST property, but code assist doesn't.

I had the same problem. But when I turned off General > Workspace > Refresh automatically, everything works fine (at least there were no freezes for a few days).

I had pretty much the same problem with included files. The funniest thing that the same included file works fine in other, more complicated, project. But when I started a new one, included file and wrote @type tag for one and only variable, the content assist was broken. Looks like problem is gone ...

Add to code assist and treat data after @example tag as formatted code (display with monotype font and respect indentation and newline characters)

Add @example JSDoc tag

It will be a great help for JS coders (for me, at least :) to provide some example code snippets for code they're writing or using. Here's an example from JSDoc Toolkit documentation:

Code: Select all

/**
 * @example
 * var bleeper = makeBleep(3);
 * bleeper.flop();
 */

Broken content assist for local variables

If I define function inside 'if' statement, the content assist for local variables of this function will be broken:

Code: Select all

if (1 == 1) {
	function sample(arg){
		var obj = {};
		ob // Ctl+Space here, content assist doesn't show 'obj' or 'arg'
	}
}

Make code assist case sensitive (as option)

IMO, this is very useful feature. For example, I have two variables: 'PRODUCT_TYPE' and 'product'. Now, when I type 'pro' and press Ctrl+Space, I receive two suggest options instead of one, and this is very annoying. Also, it will be great if you add an option to resolve this case: var product, prod...

Maybe there is a way to add file into JavaScript profile without specifying library type? I made complete documentation js-file for jQuery (I can share it, but I can't post links here until I get 10 posts) and I would like to use it in js editor by default.

Methods in jQuery JavaScript Profile always return jQuery

Spket completely ignores JSDoc @return properties in files added in jQuery JavaScript Profile, causing all methods to return jQuery objects, which is incorrect behavior, because jQuery has number of methods that returns different result types (string, boolean, array etc.). For example, offset() meth...

Add new variable type in JSDoc

It will be great help for development if you'll add new variable type is JSDoc to pass information about objects, created in runtime, between functions. It may look something like this: function myObj(){ var item = 1; return { getItem: function(){ return item; } } } /** * @param {myObj()} b */ funct...

JavaScript chains code assist doesn't work

Here is a test case: function Sample(){} Sample.prototype = { /** @return {Sample} */ add: function(){}, /** @return {Sample} */ remove: function(){}, /** @return {Sample} */ append: function(){} } var a = new Sample(); a.add(). // <-- code assist doesn't work var b = a.add(); b. // <-- code assist ...

A few features request

...just to make Spket the best JavaScript editor in the world :) 1. Add JavaScript keywords (function, switch, case, while etc.) in code assist 2. Add outline view support for the following JS pattern: var obj = function(){ // can't see 'testFunc' in outline view var testFunc = function(){ } }(); 3....

Code template autocomplete

I don't know is this a bug or feature, but when i'm typing first letters of code template and then select suggested code template Spket appends it to those letters. This is what i'm doing in JavaScript editor: 1. Type for 2. Press Ctrl + Space and select suggested 'for' code template And I receive t...
