Hello Eric, hello Forum,

do you have experience with the shared editing features of eclipse ecf?
Related to this older tutorial : http://wiki.eclipse.org/Extending_Real- ... er_Editors , is it possible to use this with the Spket editor? Where can I find it's context id?
Would it be buggy or ressource expensive to implement such a feteaure request? Or is there maybe another alternative for shared editing with eclipse?

Unfortunetally I'am just a user of this great Editor and I need some advices on how to get this done.

Please help, thank you a lot.

Marius

It's a bug indeed, please download http://www.agpad.com/downloads/com.spket.js_1.6.18.jar and replace the old one. then you can use Default Text Editor Context ID: #TextEditorContext

Code: Select all

<extension point="org.eclipse.ui.menus">
  <menuContribution locationURI="popup:#TextEditorContext">
    ...
  </menuContribution>
</extension>

Eric, thank you a lot, now I can use the ECF Shared Editing feature with your good Spket Editor :), this is very handly.

By the way, since I replaced the .jar file, the braces don't close automatically anymore while editing code in Spket. Do you mean, I miss something? I restarted Aptana with -clean, but braces stil don't close anymore. I checked the Preferences, as yesterday, no change. I have this on two different machines, both with Windows 7 and Aptana 3.6.

Would you be nice to check this too?

Thank you again and have a nice day :)

Marius
